How CoVid Solved a Chronic Illness Puzzle

CoVid19 Long Haul Commonalities

The CoVid epidemic was the most fortunate thing that could have happened for our family. Lockdown removed the noise of life and allowed time to observe. As I watched those in my household dealing with more debilitating health effects, it slowly dawned on me that we all had one thing in common -- and it wasnt our genetics -- it was our house. The indoor air quality we were living in was causing health issues. At the same time, I knew that CoVid was somehow related to the chronic health issues I was dealing with long before CoVid came around. I had all the characteristics of what is now called a Long-hauler or CoVid Long, patients that had CoVid or vaccinations and now experience symptoms long after the initial bout of the exposure. Unraveling how I could be a Long-hauler without ever having the virus led me to understand the immune system and the effects on the immune system from toxic biological elements. Many pieces fell into place, thanks to CoVid

What I learned from my dog

“Trauma is not what happens to us. But what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.” --Peter Levine, Ph.D., trauma therapist who developed Somatic Experiencing

This is the story of how my dog helped unravel the mystery of how trauma can become a chronic illness. There is trauma that affects our minds and trauma that affects our bodies. Many chronic illnesses are dealing with both types of traumas, but only the effect on the mind is recognized. The unseen trauma of environmental illness goes unnoticed, is ignored and attributed to its all in your head. Often, it is in our environment.
